MICRO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AGREEMENT

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This Wedding Photography Agreement applies together with the PJL Photography General Photography Terms.

The booking confirmation will identify:

  • the couple;

  • the wedding date;

  • the ceremony and photography locations;

  • the agreed start and finish times;

  • the package price;

  • additional travel or venue costs; and

  • any variations agreed in writing.

1. Micro Wedding package

The standard Micro Wedding package costs £1,195 and includes:

  • up to two hours of photography;

  • coverage suitable for the ceremony, couple portraits and agreed small group photographs;

  • a pre-wedding consultation;

  • professional selection and editing;

  • high-resolution digital images; and

  • a private online gallery to download and share.

No particular number of photographs is guaranteed. PJL Photography will deliver a carefully edited collection representing the strongest images from the agreed coverage.

2. Booking and payment

A £250 booking payment is required to reserve the wedding date. It forms part of the total package price and is not an additional charge.

The remaining balance of £945 must be paid no later than 28 days before the wedding.

The date is not reserved until the booking payment has been received and PJL Photography has confirmed acceptance.

Coverage is not required to begin unless the full balance and any agreed additional charges have been paid.

3. Cancellation by the couple

The couple must provide notice of cancellation in writing.

Any applicable statutory cancellation rights are described in the General Photography Terms.

If the couple cancels after any applicable statutory cancellation period, PJL Photography may retain or charge an amount reasonably reflecting:

  • consultations and planning already completed;

  • non-recoverable expenses;

  • the proximity of the cancellation to the wedding;

  • the likelihood of obtaining another booking for the date;

  • income directly lost; and

  • costs saved by not attending, editing or delivering the wedding.

The booking payment is not automatically refundable after the statutory cancellation period, but PJL Photography will not retain more than its reasonable net loss.

Where requested, PJL Photography will provide a reasonable explanation of how the cancellation amount has been calculated.

4. Postponement

A request to change the wedding date is subject to PJL Photography’s availability.

If PJL Photography is available for the new date, payments will normally be transferred to the revised booking. Any additional travel, increased coverage or other changes will be agreed separately.

If PJL Photography is unavailable, the change may need to be treated as a cancellation. Any amount retained will be based on reasonable net loss rather than an automatic forfeiture of every payment.

5. Cancellation or illness affecting the photographer

If PJL Photography cannot attend because of serious illness, injury or another unavoidable event, reasonable efforts will be made to offer:

  • a suitably experienced replacement photographer, with the couple’s agreement;

  • alternative coverage where appropriate; or

  • a refund for services that cannot be supplied.

The couple is not required to accept a replacement photographer.

6. Coverage times

Coverage will begin and end at the times stated in the booking confirmation.

Delays to the ceremony, venue access, transport or the wedding schedule do not automatically extend the finishing time.

Additional coverage may be provided only if PJL Photography is available and the couple agrees to any additional fee.

7. Schedule and information

The couple must provide accurate timings, locations, contact details and relevant venue information in reasonable time before the wedding.

The couple should identify important group photographs and any significant restrictions during the pre-wedding consultation.

PJL Photography will make reasonable efforts to capture requested photographs but cannot guarantee every requested grouping, guest, expression or moment.

The couple should nominate a person familiar with the guests to help assemble groups where necessary.

8. Venues and ceremony restrictions

Photography remains subject to rules imposed by registrars, officiants, venues and other authorised persons.

PJL Photography is not responsible for missed photographs caused by restrictions on movement, position, lighting, flash use or photography during the ceremony.

The couple is responsible for obtaining any permissions required by the venue or officiant and for disclosing relevant restrictions before the wedding.

9. Guests and other photographers

Guests may take photographs provided they do not repeatedly obstruct PJL Photography, interfere with agreed portraits or create a safety concern.

The couple agrees to provide reasonable cooperation if guest behaviour materially prevents the agreed service from being delivered.

PJL Photography is not responsible for compromised photographs caused by flashes, mobile phones, guests entering the frame or another photographer directing the couple at the same time.

10. Weather and available locations

Wedding photography will normally continue in the available conditions unless doing so would be unsafe or prohibited.

PJL Photography will use reasonable professional judgement when selecting suitable portrait locations and alternatives.

Specific outdoor photographs, sunsets, backgrounds or weather conditions cannot be guaranteed.

11. Image selection and editing

PJL Photography retains creative control over image selection and editing in accordance with the style shown in its portfolio.

Duplicate frames, test images, technically unsuitable photographs and images that do not meet the photographer’s professional standard will not be delivered.

RAW and unedited files are not included.

12. Delivery

The finished gallery will be delivered within the timeframe stated in the booking confirmation. PJL Photography will notify the couple if a significant delay becomes likely.

The couple is responsible for downloading and backing up the completed gallery promptly.

13. Personal-use licence

The couple may download, store, share and print the supplied wedding photographs for personal use.

The couple may provide copies to family members and wedding guests for their personal use.

Commercial use by venues, suppliers, publications or other businesses requires permission from PJL Photography. Suppliers should contact PJL Photography directly if they wish to use the photographs for marketing.

14. Supplier use and promotional permission

Acceptance of this agreement does not automatically grant PJL Photography permission to use identifiable wedding photographs for advertising.

Portfolio, website, social-media, competition, publication or supplier-sharing permission will be requested separately.

The couple may decline promotional use without affecting the contracted service.

15. Meals, breaks and access

For the standard two-hour Micro Wedding package, a meal is not required.

The couple will ensure that PJL Photography has reasonable access to agreed locations and is informed in advance of parking restrictions, admission charges and security requirements.

16. Final agreement

The booking confirmation, these Wedding Photography Terms, the General Photography Terms and any written variations form the agreement between the couple and PJL Photography.

Changes must be agreed in writing.

By accepting the booking, the couple confirms that they have read and agree to these documents.
