HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE TERMS

These Headshot Photography Service Terms apply together with the PJL Photography General Photography Terms.
1. Services and inclusions
The package selected during booking will determine the session length, number of people and number of included images.
Current standard packages include:
Professional Headshot Session: up to 60 minutes and three edited images;
Extended Headshot Session: up to 90 minutes and five edited images; and
Small Team Headshot Session: up to three people and one edited headshot per person.
The price and inclusions displayed at the time of booking and recorded in the booking confirmation will apply to the contract.
2. Payment
Individual headshot sessions must be paid for in full when booked unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Team and business bookings will follow the payment schedule stated in the written quotation or invoice.
Additional people, travel, venue costs and other requested services will be charged only where agreed.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Statutory consumer cancellation rights, where applicable, and the general cancellation provisions are set out in the General Photography Terms.
Consumer protections may not apply in the same way where a company books photography wholly for business purposes. The applicable cancellation arrangements for a team or corporate booking will be included in its quotation.
Where reasonable notice is provided, PJL Photography will normally try to transfer an individual headshot booking once to another available date.
4. The session
The client is responsible for arriving ready at the agreed time.
Late arrival may reduce the available photography time and will not normally extend the scheduled finish time.
PJL Photography will provide reasonable guidance concerning posture, expression, positioning and clothing during the session.
5. Proof gallery and image selection
The client will receive a private proof gallery from which to choose the images included in the booked package.
Proof images may be watermarked and are supplied only for selection. They must not be downloaded, screenshotted, published, altered or used before purchase or inclusion in the package.
The client should submit their selections within the period stated in the gallery email. Delayed selection may delay final delivery.
If the client does not make a selection after reasonable reminders, PJL Photography may select the included images on the client’s behalf.
6. Additional images
Additional images may be purchased at the prices displayed when the gallery is supplied.
No additional purchase is required to receive the number of images already included in the booked package.
Editing of additional images will begin after payment is received. Digital-image purchases cannot normally be cancelled after editing or download has begun where the client has provided the legally required consent and acknowledgement.
This does not affect rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content.
7. Retouching
Standard editing includes colour correction, exposure adjustment, cropping and reasonable portrait finishing in PJL Photography’s normal style.
Extensive skin alteration, body reshaping, clothing replacement, background reconstruction, composite work or removal of substantial objects is not included unless agreed separately.
PJL Photography will not alter a person’s appearance in a misleading or unrealistic manner without discussing the request first.
8. Delivery
Final selected images will normally be delivered within one to two weeks after the client submits their selection, unless another timeframe is agreed.
Only selected and purchased finished images will be delivered. RAW files and rejected images are not included.
9. Headshot licence
For individual headshot sessions, the client receives a non-exclusive licence to use supplied images for:
LinkedIn and other professional profiles;
CVs and job applications;
the client’s personal or professional website;
speaking, conference and author profiles;
the client’s own social media;
editorial profiles and press biographies; and
reasonable self-promotion.
The client’s employer may use the headshot to identify or promote the individual on its website, internal systems, team pages and ordinary business communications.
For team sessions, the booking organisation may use the supplied images for its website, staff profiles, recruitment, internal communications, press releases and ordinary corporate marketing.
The licence does not include resale, stock-library distribution, merchandising, political campaigning or transfer to unrelated third parties without written permission.
Broader advertising or paid-media campaigns should be discussed before use.
10. Employer and participant permissions
The person arranging a team session confirms that they are authorised to commission the photography.
Each participant should be informed about how the commissioning organisation intends to use their headshot. The organisation remains responsible for its own data-protection and employment obligations concerning that use.
