FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE TERMS

These Family Photography Service Terms apply together with the PJL Photography General Photography Terms.
1. Family Photography Experience
The Family Photography Experience costs £325 and includes:
up to one hour of outdoor family photography;
pre-session planning and location guidance;
relaxed direction during the session;
professional selection and editing;
a minimum of 20 finished high-resolution digital images;
a private downloadable online gallery; and
personal printing and sharing rights.
Optional professional prints, wall art and other products are not included and may be purchased separately.
2. Payment schedule
A £100 booking payment is required to reserve the session date. It forms part of the £325 package price and is not an additional charge.
The remaining £225 must be paid no later than seven days before the session.
The session will not take place unless the full package price has been received.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Statutory cancellation rights and the general cancellation provisions are set out in the General Photography Terms.
After any applicable statutory cancellation period, the £100 booking payment is not automatically refundable. PJL Photography may retain some or all of it only to the extent that it reasonably reflects work completed, expenses incurred and net loss resulting directly from the cancellation.
Where reasonable notice is provided, PJL Photography will normally allow the booking payment to be transferred once to another mutually suitable date, subject to availability.
Further changes may be treated as a cancellation where PJL Photography cannot reasonably accommodate them.
4. Weather
Outdoor sessions depend on suitable conditions.
PJL Photography will decide whether conditions are unsuitable after considering safety, heavy rain, high winds and the likely effect on the photographs.
If PJL Photography postpones the session because of unsuitable weather, the payment will be transferred to an alternative mutually suitable date without a rescheduling charge.
Cloud, cold temperatures or light wind will not necessarily require postponement.
5. Location and travel
Standard sessions take place at an agreed location in Lancaster, Morecambe or the surrounding local area.
Travel beyond the normal working area, admission charges, parking charges or venue fees may be added where agreed before booking.
The client is responsible for following applicable location and venue rules.
6. Participants
The standard package is intended for one immediate family.
Extended-family and multi-household sessions may require additional time or fees. These will be agreed before the booking is confirmed.
The booking adult confirms that they are authorised to arrange photography of participating children. A parent or responsible adult must supervise children throughout the session.
7. Cooperation
Children are not expected to pose or behave perfectly. PJL Photography will use reasonable skill and patience to create a varied collection.
A specific expression, pose or number of photographs of each participant cannot be guaranteed where children or other participants are unwilling or unable to take part.
A complimentary reshoot is not normally provided because of lack of cooperation, clothing choices, appearance concerns or dissatisfaction based solely on personal taste.
This does not affect the client’s rights if the photography service was not provided with reasonable care and skill.
8. Selection and editing
PJL Photography will select the strongest photographs and deliver a minimum of 20 finished images.
The package does not include access to every photograph taken, rejected images or RAW files.
The final gallery will contain the completed photographs included in the package. It will not normally be used as a proofing gallery from which the client must make an additional digital purchase.
9. Delivery
The finished gallery will normally be delivered within one to two weeks following the session.
The client should download and back up the photographs promptly. Gallery access and file storage are subject to the General Photography Terms.
10. Personal-use licence
The delivered images may be:
downloaded and stored by the client;
shared with friends and family;
published on the client’s personal social-media accounts; and
printed for the client’s own personal use.
The licence does not permit commercial advertising, resale, entry into image libraries, removal of watermarks from proofs or use by an unrelated business.
11. Prints
Professional prints and wall art are optional and are purchased separately.
The client may also make personal prints using the supplied high-resolution files. PJL Photography cannot guarantee the colour, cropping, finish or durability of products obtained from third-party consumer laboratories.
